Overview

The DT-1 (DT AC Triac DALI Dimmer) is a single-channel DALI-2 compatible AC dimmer designed to control dimmable LED lamps, halogen, and incandescent loads. It accepts standard 100–240 VAC supply and delivers phase-cut (“Triac”) dimming output, offering flexible deployment in retrofit and new lighting installations. With selectable forward (leading edge) or reverse (trailing edge) phase cut, overload and overheat protection, and full DALI addressing support, DT-1 is a reliable solution for residential, commercial, or retrofit lighting control projects.

Technical Notes

  • The DT-1 does not output any DALI bus voltage — it only acts as a DALI-controlled Triac dimmer. A compliant DALI master and DALI power supply are required on the DALI bus.
  • Selectable dimming phase: choose forward-phase (leading edge) or reverse-phase (trailing edge) based on load type — ensure compatibility with your lamps/drivers.
  • Maximum load: 150–360 W; ensure the total connected load does not exceed this rating.
  • Output current limited to max 1.5 A — suitable for single channel loads only.
  • When using dimmable LED lamps or LED drivers, verify they are phase-cut compatible and able to handle Triac dimming mode.
  • Minimum brightness floor is adjustable — recommended to configure after installation to prevent flicker at low light levels.
  • Over-load/over-heat protection is built-in; in case of load fault or overheating, the dimmer will shut down and recover automatically when safe.

Wiring & Installation Notes

  • Supply input: Connect live (L) and neutral (N) to 100–240 VAC input terminals.
  • Output: Connect the load (LED lamp, halogen, incandescent) to the AC output load terminals.
  • Use standard phase-cut dimmable fixtures or drivers compatible with Triac dimming when using in LED installations.
  • For Push-Dim functionality: connect a momentary (non-latching) wall switch to the Push-Dim input terminals (if used).
  • Verify total load wattage and ensure it does not exceed 360 W or 1.5 A output current.
  • Ensure proper heat dissipation and ventilation; do not enclose in fully sealed boxes without airflow.
  • Operating ambient temperature: –30 °C to +55 °C. Case maximum temperature: +70 °C.
  • Protection class: IP20 — for indoor, dry environment only; do not expose to moisture or water.
  • Ensure wiring polarity and connection integrity before powering up.
