Overview

Technical Notes

• The EV4 does not generate dimming signals; it duplicates the PWM signal from a master LED controller.
• Provides four identical PWM output channels used for RGBW or four independent monochrome channels.
• Multiple EV4 units may be used in parallel to scale the system for very large installations.
• Ensure the LED load voltage matches the power supply connected to the EV4.
• This device is not a power supply; only use with a regulated constant voltage LED driver.
• Smooth, flicker-free dimming is maintained across all repeater outputs, identical to the master controller.
• For RGBW setups, distribute load evenly across channels to maintain uniform performance.

Wiring & Installation Notes

• Connect 12–24V DC constant voltage power supply to V+ and V– input terminals.
• Connect LED strip outputs to channels CH1–CH4 (observe polarity).
• Connect the PWM signal from the master LED controller to the repeater’s input signal terminals.
• Ensure a common negative (V–) reference is shared between controller, repeater and LED power supply.
• Do not exceed 6A per channel or 24A total continuous output current.
• Install in a dry location with adequate ventilation (IP20 indoor).
• Follow proper polarity and wire gauge according to load and distance.
