Overview

The EV5 DC Constant Voltage Power Repeater is a multi-channel LED amplifier designed for expanding the output capacity of PWM LED dimming systems. When paired with a master controller or dimmer, the EV5 reproduces the same PWM signal across five output channels, allowing larger or extended LED installations to be controlled synchronously. With a wide 12–48V DC input range and a high output rating of up to 5×5A, the EV5 is ideal for RGB, RGBW, or multi-channel constant voltage LED systems.

Technical Notes

• The EV5 repeats PWM signals only; it does not include a dimming interface or remote control capability.
• Must be used with a compatible constant voltage LED controller or dimmer as the master unit.
• Five output channels allow use in single-color (5 channels), CCT (2+2 channels), RGB (3 channels), or RGBW (4 channels) systems.
• Maximum output: 5A per channel; ensure load distribution is balanced when used for color systems.
• Multiple EV5 units can be cascaded to scale output for very large installations.
• Uses the same PWM signal as the master controller to ensure perfectly synchronized dimming and color transitions.
• LED load voltage must match the input voltage applied to the EV5.
• The unit is not a power supply — a regulated constant voltage LED driver must be used.

Wiring & Installation Notes

• Connect a regulated DC power supply (12–48V) to the input terminals (V+ / V–).
• Connect the LED loads to the output channels (CH1–CH5).
• Connect the PWM signal wires from the master controller to the signal input terminals.
• Ensure ground/common (V–) is shared across all connected devices for proper signal transmission.
• Multiple EV5 units can be wired in parallel for large installations.
• Install the device in a ventilated area to prevent overheating.
• Do not exceed 5A per channel or the total rated output current.
• Indoor installation only (IP20 rating).
